Instructor Bio: Alexandra Yastishock
"And though she be but little, she is fierce."
Alexandra Yastishock is an Apprentice-level student at the Academy of Arms in the greater Los Angeles area. Since beginning her HEMA journey, she has studied a variety of weapons, the montante becoming an immediate favorite. Inspired by the elegance—and size—of the weapon, the 5'2'' whirlwind joined a montante study group, working through every rule of Figueyredo's "Memorial Of the Practice of the Montante" with her classmates. She has since developed her own montante curriculum, hoping it will spark curiosity, enthusiasm, and the desire for additional study in her fellow HEMA-ists.
